šŸ¤” First Time Presenting a Salesforce Ritual?

Oh, if I could tell you how anxious and disappointed I was when I presented my very first Salesforce Ritual (šŸ’–Ā you better vibe with the branding šŸ˜‰šŸ˜‰).

Evidently, I come from another field and didnā€™t have any hands-on experience besides Trailhead Playgrounds. I couldnā€™t ask anybody around me as I didnā€™t fully understand at that moment what Salesforce was, but I was told having a Salesforce career would change my life. Jump forward to 2024 (year where this blog was crafted) and it has indeed, fortunately, upgraded my quality of life by far.

Presenting my very first Salesforce Ritual was a complex and uncertain process. I was nervous the entire time ā€”we were requested to have 2 webcams turned on, our laptopā€™s camera, and an external one to ensure we were in fact not cheatingā€”, my heart felt as if it was about to jump out of my chest, and it perhaps was a mild panic attack as I just wanted to pass to build a better life for my family and myself. An anxious experience to be honest, however, breathe calmly as I will tell you all the information you need to know prior to scheduling your very first Ritual!

āš ļø Before Presenting Your Exam For The First Timeā€¦

  1. Even if the retake is free for some Rituals, make sure to study all items presented in the official Salesforce courses
  2. Create a Webassessor account (by Kryterion)
    1. Kryterion is a company that specializes in providing secure proctoring and testing solutions to facilitate the administration of exams in a secure and efficient manner
  3. Schedule your Assessment ā€”make sure to be mindful of the selected time zone
    1. Your examā€™s schedule is based on the country in your Webassessor profile
    2. You are able to choose from various options when scheduling your Ritual
  4. Review online proctoring guides for your operating system
    1. Confirm you can download and install software in your device
      1. If you donā€™t have Admin privileges on your computer, you canā€™t launch the Ritual
      2. Complete the biometric profile enrollment (Windows / Mac)
  5. Download and Install the Salesforce Lockdown app (Windows / Mac)
    1. This software creates a secure connection between you and Webassessor during your exam, and when opened, you are not be able to access anything else in your device until the app is closed
